Jesus dismantles our survival instincts with a paradox: grasping produces loss; releasing produces life. The life you are clinging to — the version of yourself you have constructed through control and self-preservation — is not the life He created you to live. Lose it. Surrender the reputation, the plan, the carefully managed image. What you find on the other side of that surrender is not a lesser life but a truer, richer, eternal one. Let go and find yourself in Him.
